Festive Flair and Fare

Last night, the School Atrium was filled with sparkle, laughter, and joy during the Festive Flair and Fare event. It was a huge success, thanks to everyone who contributed to its success on so many levels. Special thanks to Ali Chawke and The Goat Grill, our key sponsor, for their support. Laura Nolan of LNH Edit set the scene with a feast for the eyes tablescaping three stunning festive tables decorated with brilliant Christmas ideas that any family would be thrilled to celebrate. Elanor Warfield @wreaths_by_elle also added beautiful Christmas wreaths to the display. MC Joanne Byrne of Presence PR kept us entertained with her witty anecdotes and easy presenting style.

We also had the pleasure of tasting three of David Whelehan's special wines, including Benard-Pitois Carte Blanche Premier Cru Brut NV (€35), Domaine Guerrin StVeran Le Clos Vessats 2022 (€25), and Lirica Primitivo di Manduria 2020 (€20), which are perfect for the festive season. Ruth Wassil delighted us with her amazing canapes, including smoked salmon on blinis, honey roasted cocktail sausages, coronation chicken, and wonderful sausage and black pudding rolls. The recipes for these delicious treats are available to download HERE, and we think they will be served in many homes this year. We were also treated to excellent style tips from Cathy O'Connor during the Flair portion of the evening. She gave us great advice on how to make the most out of our body shapes, such as using ruffles or gathering at the tummy area to hide problem areas, belts cut you inhalf and using colors or diagonal designs to bring the eye up to your shoulder level. Check out our beautful catwalk models, Elizabeth Kavanagh (MAMJS Principal) ‘Miss Bronach’ Mc Cormack (past pupil and MAMJS Teacher) and Benevolent Fund Committee members Phoebe de Vere White and Pippa Quigley. They stole the show! Presented the outfits from Anastasia Boutique Ranelagh, Place in Gorey, and Helen Cody’s latest creations inspired by her time in Paris.

Michael Chester came along with his camera and captured the moments of the evening. He has many close ties to Mount Anville having been a past pupil him self and a member of the St Marys debating team specially coached by Sister Stephenson ..... he also knew many of the ladies in the Atrium!

Finally, the raffle was very well supported, and we are grateful for all the suppliers that gave us amazing prizes. At this event we raised over €7500 which will help fund our next round of Grants to Past Pupils being dispersed later this month.
