To support you in supporting your own self-care, we have partnered with Health Assured to offer you free access to a 24/7 helpline to support you through any of life’s issues or problems.

We understand that financial assistance isn't always the only kind of help people need in order to take care of their wellbeing. It can be difficult to know where to turn for trusted advice.


That's why we have teamed up with Health Assured to offer you free access to a 24/7 helpline. This helpline is available to you at any time, day or night, and is here to provide advice and support on any issues or problems you may face in life. We want to make sure you have the support you need to take care of yourself.

Past Pupils’ Assistance Programme

The Service

We look to support all Sacred Heart past pupils in every way we can.  There has been an increased demand for support from girls who have suffered bereavement, separation, financial difficulties and illness.  All outside their control.  Everyday demands and just balancing the requirements of life today can create pressures for all of us.

To assist Past Pupils through a difficult time we can now offer some free counselling.  Whatever life throws at you .... our support is there ... whenever you need it.

The counselling service can help with issues such as:

  • Mental health conditions

  • Health and wellbeing information

  • Stress at home or work

  • Financial issues including debt

  • Family and relationship matters

  • Bereavement

 

This is a personal support programme that can greatly assist you to achieve a positive balance in life. The service gives unlimited access to a range of specialist support and information including:

  • Telephone support and counselling provided by qualified and experienced therapists

  • Up to six structured counselling sessions per person, per issue, per year (inclusive of face to face CBT).

  • Medical Information.

  • Legal and Financial information.

  • Eldercare and Childcare support.

  • Online help and advice– Issues such as: Alcohol/Drugs, Debt, Family Issues, Bereavement, Tax, Childcare and other Citizens Advice Bureau type advice.

  • Online health portal

  • A smartphone app, offering help and support in the palm of your hand - Unique content, mood trackers, breathing techniques. relevant support and preventative wellness programmes straight from your smart phone.

Who will know if I contact the service?

No one! The service is completely confidential and can be accessed via a free phone number and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service is available to past pupils and immediate family members residing at the same address.

How does it work?

The support service comes with

  •  a free 24 hour confidential helpline

  •  a self-care app

  •  access to a website with support and guides for some of life's difficult issues, and support in managing whatever   work or personal issues you are facing, up to and including a completely free and confidential counselling service.
