

Perdita's Covid19 10k a Day
Perdita Quinlan - one of the many Cocooning Grannies was very sad that the mini marathon did not take place in June. A great supporter of the event, she has taken part in almost every Mini Marathons since it began and was not going to let Covid19 stop her keeping that record. She decided to walk 10kms every day - 6 days a week and started walking around the Sophie Barat Residence gardens on April 6th and continued every day until May 3. 2020 Mini Marathon was cancelled due to the Coronavirus - however that did not stop our amazing Team! We asked Past Pupils to Don a Pink Top and Walk, Run or Cycle 10k in their local 5k and we had a great response. What a 'Team of 2020' we had for the 10k in your 5k on Sunday 31st May 2020. 84 Pupils mostly Past and some current too, took part locally in their 5k and Walked, Ran or Cycled. Bridge 8th May 2019
hanks to the wonderful support from many Bridge Players last Wednesday we had a most enjoyable evening of Bridge and raised an amazing €3200 . We had 11 and a half tables and some very interesting bidding led to contracts being made ... and lost. Many thanks to every one who joined us.
